The ladder system has finally been implemented!
Tired of waiting for the energy to refill? Go win prizes in the Akatsuki Ladder! While there, you simply click the Fight button and you'll be taken to a fight against a randomly chosen opponent from your rank. It does not cost energy or anything, and you can fight as much as you want. A lot of stats are recorded, and the best teams and ninjas in each category win daily prizes that can be seen below each highscore list. Move up in rank by completing missions on the World Map to compete in higher ranks on the Ladder, or just win enough daily rewards on the rank to automatically move up in Ladder rank. Higher ranks means better rewards, so get past those first ranks as soon as possible! Tell your friends about it too! They don't even need to be registered to try it out. By going to the Akatsuki Ladder while logged out, you will enter Guest Mode and be given a randomly generated team to test the Ladder with! |

Is the ladder already getting too far out of hand? Team 2xMachina has achieved 1,000,000+ damage miraculously over the course of 18 hours. He also has the most wins at 560+. This is incredibly high and in my opinion quite difficult to reach. It's almost screaming at you to cheat if you want to beat people like that. Was this your original plan, or have things gone wrong?

There are still some rewards that can be won with less hours spend, but these will probably distributed between the top teams anyways (like winstreaks). Still, I don't think 2x machina will spend 24 hours on the latter every day, so don't sweat it. |

Yeah. I'm sure he won't do this every day, but I'm worried about everyone just following suit, so there will always be those top 5 people that switch off days and constantly win the rewards. I'm really content as long as I can achieve Individual Nin Awards. xD

Well it's as i said when the idea of the ladder came up. It would be better if we had a few different ladders were the player could choose in which one he could play.
Lets say one were you could play max 100, one with 200 and one with 500 matches, and one like the current. You could maybe change ladder every week or so if you feel that the one you picked didn't suit you. In that way everyone have a chance to win even if they don't spend 10+ hours just clicking like the current winners are. Plus there seem to be a few ways to exploit it right now, won't mention it here tho. |

Edit: Errm dist, why not mention the ways to exploit the ladder so it can be fixed. (If it can be considered a bug.) Last edited by Melanor; 08-11-2009 at 04:03 PM. |

Wow! I actually had that exact same idea in the back of my mind. Of course, I thought it would be socially unaccepted, but I guess not! xD I was also thinking what if we had different ladders for different rewards. Ex: Akatsuki Ladder is the Everything Ladder. Mechanical Bird Ladder gives out ryo. Konohagakure Dojo gives out Ninja Exp. and so on.
@ Melanor: Lol. I'm not a hardcore like these 10 hour clickers are, but I do like the idea that if I put in 3-4 hours of right index finger elbow grease I can get a little reward for staying online. |

Your Ideas about the fixed battle numbers is nice. Still, it'd probably be dominated by the strong teams. I'd rather see various ladders with different restrictions. - A maximum number of battles can be played ( as dist suggested) - the ladder can only be played for a set amount of time/day (like 1 or 2 hours) - Only Genins/Jounins/Kages, no combat summons, no items whatever Things like that. Well its just an idea, feel free to rip it apart..^^ |

Still, when having a fixed ladder you cant win due to playing more than everyone else. I.e winning The Hard-worker, Heavy Hitter, Best Loser.
Those 3 all depend on how much you spend playing it. If they were fixed the strongest would actually win, not the one who plays the most. Same goes with Individual rewards. And when having a few different ladders the selection could be more strict, like now all gold rank fight each other and all fox ranked fight each other. And the difference in power is pretty huge. |

It's almost unavoidable that the strong teams with high levels will almost always dominate any system. I like the 1st and 3rd suggestions, but the only reason I don't like the 2nd is it puts pressure on me to put 100% concentration into the 1-2 hours of battling so I can have 100% efficiency.
